Interface JdbcServices

public interface JdbcServices extends Service
Provides access to services related to JDBC operations.

These services represent shared resources that do not vary by session.

    • getJdbcEnvironment

      JdbcEnvironment getJdbcEnvironment()
      Obtain the JdbcEnvironment backing this JdbcServices instance.

    • getBootstrapJdbcConnectionAccess

      JdbcConnectionAccess getBootstrapJdbcConnectionAccess()
      Obtain a JdbcConnectionAccess usable from bootstrap actions (hbm2ddl.auto, Dialect resolution, etc).

    • getDialect

      Dialect getDialect()
      Obtain the dialect of the database.

    • getSqlStatementLogger

      SqlStatementLogger getSqlStatementLogger()
      Obtain service for logging SQL statements.
      Returns:
      The SQL statement logger.

    • getParameterMarkerStrategy

      @Incubating(since="6.2") ParameterMarkerStrategy getParameterMarkerStrategy()
      Obtains the service used for marking SQL parameters
      Returns:
      the registered ParameterMarkerStrategy implementation.

    • getSqlExceptionHelper

      SqlExceptionHelper getSqlExceptionHelper()
      Obtain service for dealing with exceptions.
      Returns:
      The exception helper service.

    • getJdbcMetadata

      JdbcMetadata getJdbcMetadata()

      Obtain the stable effective JDBC metadata view.

      Use this view for runtime support decisions. Access its raw snapshot only when diagnostics, reporting, or an integration contract specifically requires driver observations.

      Use getJdbcMetadata() for effective runtime decisions. For intentional raw access, use getJdbcMetadata().getExtractedDatabaseMetaData().
      Obtain the raw JDBC driver and bootstrap-connection observations.

      the raw extracted database metadata

      LobCreator getLobCreator(LobCreationContext lobCreationContext)
      Create an instance of a LobCreator appropriate for the current environment, mainly meant to account for variance between:
      • JDBC 4 (<= JDK 1.6) and
      • JDBC 3 (>= JDK 1.5).
      Parameters:
      lobCreationContext - The context in which the LOB is being created
      Returns:
      The LOB creator.
